SONY VAIO W updated – now comes with Windows 7 Starter and more new features

SONY has updated the VAIO W for India. Now, it comes with a bigger 250GB hard disk and 2GB RAM. Earlier, it used to come with 160GB hard disk and 1GB RAM only.
Also, the OS that used to come with it has been changed too. Earlier, it used to come with Windows XP Home edition. That has now been updated to Windows 7 Starter edition.
Price has remained unchanged at Rs 27,490
Every VAIO W comes with a slew of custom SONY apps. One of them is the VAIO Media Plus that allows you to stream photos, videos and music from your VAIO W to your Playstation 3 on your TV.
The VAIO W comes with a 10.1 inch display and packs 1366×768 resolution which is not common in the netbooks which generally sport 1024×600 resolution normally.
SONY VAIO W is a true netbook from SONY. However, it comes with only 2 USB 2.0 ports whereas most of the netbooks comes with atleast 3. It has a built-in webcam and microphone too to let you do video chat with your business clients and with your loved ones.
Note that VPCCW125AG is the new one and VPCW115XG is the old one that comes with XP and lower capacity hard disk
